WHAT:
Curator Rose Courville selects the work of eight Louisiana artists for “Environs/Examined”. In order to ground ourselves in this unstable environment of broken economy, new political leadership, and the state of reconstruction, one grasps for aspects of life that are familiar. The artists presented in Environs/Examined create work that examines their relationship with unique landscapes and societal structures and the broader concepts of regeneration and hybrid elements in our environment.
